Douglas Newcomer - President/CEO and Founder
Doug began his construction company 32 years ago as a single carpenter right out of trade school. His business, Trim Plus, was a sub-contracting firm to area builders as a finish carpenter. After extending his education, Doug started building additions and recreation rooms to existing homes. In 1988, Doug expanded into home building, building both speculative and custom homes. Today Trim Plus Custom Homes and Trim Plus is one of the highest acclaimed unique custom home builders and remodelers in the state of Maryland with hundreds of satisfied clients.
Throughout his years as a builder and remodeling contractor in good standing with National Home Builders Association, Trim Plus has donated time and material for many Roof Raising events in the greater Frederick County area, providing new homes at no cost for homeless families and giving back to the very community that raised him.
It was from his interests in perfecting HVAC systems for his clients in his home building career that the XChanger concept was born. Doug made application for the patent, formed a company and seeked out partners to deliver this great technology to industry.
Doug and his wife Debbie, of 35 years, have raised three children, and have six grandchildren. Doug and Debbie now reside on Kent Island in Maryland.
Bryan Levy - Former President/CEO
Bryan has spent most of the last 20 years of his professional life as an entrepreneur. He purchased his first company at the age of 20 and ran it successfully for six years before selling it to a regional facilities management firm in 1999.
In 1999, Bryan began working with the Andersen Corporation. After becoming one of the top three salespeople in the country, he was promoted in 2001 to Regional Sales Manager for the MD/DC/VA district. He was again promoted in 2003, and at the age of 31, and became the youngest General Manager in the history of the company.
Bryan became partner and CEO of SSI HOMES in 2004. SSI has a 33-year history serving Maryland homeowners that includes an extensive client list comprised of hundreds of custom homes, solariums and remodels. Focusing on sales, design and customer relation has undoubtedly proven to be his passion.
Bryan received a Bachelor of Science from Salisbury University and earned his Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland. He is also the Founder and President of the Bowen Foundation, a local organization dedicated to improving the lives of families with autism. Bryan and his wife of 19 years, Tanya, reside in Annapolis, MD with their two children.
Gerald Mullins - Secretary
Jerry has spent his career advising organizations on communications initiatives that influence public perception. By combining his experience as a former reporter and television producer as well as a communications strategist with strong media contacts, Jerry is able to effectively influence the community at large.
Jerry joined Weber Merritt from Oakton Capital Partners, a CFTC-regulated third party marketing firm where he was a founding partner.
Jerry’s work in the political arena included four years with the Republican National Committee and the National Republican Congressional Committee producing over 2,000 radio and television advertisements as well as hundreds of hours of programming from both the 1996 and 2000 Republican National Conventions. Jerry also worked for news organizations including the Richmond Times Dispatch, Associated Press, ABC Sports, USA Radio Network, CNN, Fox News Channel and Capital Broadcasting and served as a national spokesperson for dozens of nationally recognized organizations.
At Weber Merritt, Jerry provides counsel to clients to achieve their business objectives through partnerships, legislative outreach and communications.
Jerry is a graduate of North Carolina State University where he received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Communications and Business. He and his family reside in Annapolis, MD.
